Some Frequently Asked Questions:

Are you a registered school?

Concordia Lutheran School will provide all students with comprehensive and quality instruction. As the school is an accredited school with the British Columbia Ministry of Education, the provincially approved curriculum will serve as the guide for our subjects and learning outcomes. Our Parent Handbook has been carefully crafted to answer many frequently asked questions.

How much does it cost?

Each year, Concordia Lutheran School makes its best attempt to keep tuition fees as reasonable as possible. Tuition and fees are set annually by the School Operations Team. Financial assistance may be available to families who are on limited income, based on availability of funds. Receipts for income tax purposes will be issued to parents each spring.

Yearly Registration Fee for 2020-2021

Kindergarten to Grade 5: $165 per student

Registration fees, which are non-refundable, cover registration costs, supplies, and most field trips. Early registration for all grades, with registration fee paid before May 31, will result in a 50% reduction in September’s monthly tuition.

Tuition Fees for 2020-2021:

One child: $2960, payable at $296/month

Two children in the same immediate family: $4900, payable at $490/month

Three or more children in the same immediate family: $5560, payable at $560/month

Note: Concordia has sent a family ceiling of $5560 per year for each family.

Concordia Lutheran School is pleased to offer the convenience of a monthly tuition plan. It is important to note that this is not a “per month” cost of the education that students receive. The yearly sum of tuition reflects the total cost of providing teaching instruction, services and materials for each student. Post-dated cheques are required for the monthly tuition payment plan. They are to be made out to Concordia Lutheran School and dated for the first of each month from September 1 to June 1, and are required by August 15 for the school term. Returned cheques will be assessed a $25 fee. Three NSF cheques will result in future payments of either cash or money order. 4% monthly interest will be charged on late tuition payments and will begin to accrue after 7 days of the missed payment.

A full year’s tuition payment in advance of the start of the year will result in a 5% discount of the full year’s tuition.

Who can come to the school?

Students from all faith backgrounds are welcome at Concordia, with the understanding that we teach according to the Christian faith.

Do you go on field trips? Have activities? Sports?

Concordia Lutheran School regards field trips are an opportunity to extend the curriculum into the community.  Classes will take regular field trips as an important component of the educational process.  We go on countless trips such as skiing, skating, bowling and much more. Students have daily physical education as well as opportunities for sports.
