Maundy Thursday

Maundy Thursday

Maundy Thursday is the day before Good Friday in the church year. The name "Maundy" comes from the Latin word mandatum, which means "command" (like where we get our English word mandate).

[Jesus said], "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
John 13:34-35

Maundy Thursday Worship with Holy Communion

Maundy Thursday Worship with Holy Communion

Maundy Thursday is the day before Good Friday in the church year, when we commemorate the celebration of the Last Supper that Jesus shared with His 12 disciples.

We gather for worship on the evening of Maundy Thursday and celebrate Holy Communion as we remember the Last Supper.
