Giving Options

The Lord provides for the work He has called us to do together. The primary way He provides are through the offerings of members and regular attenders.

God gives us the freedom to determine how much to offer for the needs of the congregation based on how He has blessed us. He does not expect us to give what we do not have. Hear from God in through the Apostle Paul...

The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. As it is written, “He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever.” He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God.
—2 Corinthians 9:6-11

As a congregation, we trust that God will provide what we need through the generosity of our members and friends. All of us are encouraged to consider how God has blessed us and to continue to contribute to the work of the church faithfully. We have three main ways to receive offerings:

  1. Offering Envelopes
You can use the sets of envelopes we provide to contribute through cheque and/or cash in the offering plate during worship times. Envelopes are dated, and most givers have a number assigned so that we can properly track the offering and provide an accurate receipt for a charitable donation tax receipt. If you do not have an assigned number and would like one, please contact our office.
  2. Pre-Authorized Debit
    1. Download this form.
    2. Print it out and fill out the information, including a signature.
    3. Return it to the church office by email, mail, or drop-off.
  3. E-transfer
Many of us have e-transfer as an option for mobile and online banking. You can e-transfer the church at any time:
    1. In your online/mobile banking website/app, add finances@concordialive.ca as a recipient.
    2. Send an e-transfer in the amount you choose.
    3. Your e-transfer will be automatically deposited in the church account.

In addition, you can drop-off at the church office or mail. If dropping off, please place in an envelope, and ensure your name is included if cash, and drop it off in the mail slot at the church (on the wall to  the left of the main doors, near the electric door button). If sending through regular mail, we strongly advise not sending cash.

Thank you for your continued investment in the work of God's kingdom through Concordia!
