2022 Advent Bible Reading

Read through one chapter of Matthew and/or Luke this Advent season, which will lead you through the story of Jesus right up to Christmas Eve.

Over the past few years, we've used devotional material during the Advent and Christmas seasons. This Advent you're invited to engage more directly with God's Word by reading one chapter a day from the Gospel accounts of Matthew and/or Luke.

We'll be focusing more on Matthew on Sundays in Advent as we begin a new church year, and Luke gives us the most detail about the birth of Jesus. And, they both work very well to read one chapter a day throughout the season and finishing right at Christmas.

If you start reading Matthew on the First Sunday in Advent (Nov. 27) and Luke on Dec. 1, you'll finish both of them on Christmas Eve. You're invited to read one or both - it will take maybe 10 minutes a day, and God will bless you richly as you abide in His Word!

To help keep the reading plan easy to reference, the reading schedule is on our website calendar, and for those who are local, we have a paper version available at the church building.
