Traditional Worship

January 21, 2018 :: 9:00am

Our Traditional Worship gathering is at 9:00am Sundays, using historic forms of Lutheran liturgy accompanied by organ and piano. We use a variety of liturgies and hymns from the Lutheran Service Book hymnal. Singing is generally led by a small vocal ensemble which occassionally also offers special music. All service elements are projected on a screen for ease of following, participating, and singing.

We celebrate Holy Communion on the 2nd and last Sundays of each month.

Agape Kids (Sunday School)

January 21, 2018 :: 10:15am

Agape Kids is our Sunday School for ages 3 through grade 6. We gather on Sunday mornings at 10:15. We begin with a song and prayer, then have about half-an-hour in a class time with Bible stories, crafts, and games. All kids are welcome to come and learn more about the unconditional love of God for us in Jesus Christ!

(In case you're wondering, the word agape is a Greek word from the Bible that describes God's unconditional love for His people. It's pronounced ah-GAH-pay.)

Contemporary Worship

January 21, 2018 :: 11:00am

Our Celebration worship gathering happens at 11:00am each Sunday morning, and is a contemporary expression of historic Christian liturgy. Music is led by a team with a core of guitars, drums, keyboards, and voices. While there are people from all generations present, there are many young families, which makes it a lively time for all who gather. Themed activity bags and a nursery help parents care for their young children.

We celebrate Holy Communion the 2nd and last Sundays of each month.

The Issachar Sessions

The Issachar Sessions

January 17, 2018 :: 7:00pm to 8:30pm

There's a curious verse in the Bible, in a book we don't often think of reading very much: 1 Chronicles 12:32. It's listing the mighty men of David, and in verse 32 there's this odd little note: "men of Issachar, who understood the times to know what Israel should do..." These were men from the tribe of Issachar who were noted especially for their understanding of what was going on in their world and for the ability to help Israel engage with it.

These sessions will engage with "hot-button" topics in our culture, and dig into God's Word to help us understand and respond to these issues according to God's Word. All are invited.
